Trying to convince people to adopt responsible practices is not an easy thing, especially when it comes to ecology. Certainly, the difficulty to render the consequences of our actions tangible has a lot to do with it. Even if we happen to face more and more pictures of melting glaciers or visualization of long term temperature data, it’s still hard to tie them directly to our own behavior. Sometimes, making things a personal matter of concern can be easier though. Notably when it’s possible to switch from one abstract entity to a touching cute one. For instance, in case you would ignore the sign that explain that all the stuff you throw away in the sewage go straight to the ocean, let’s remind you dolphins inhabit the ocean. You wouldn’t hurt a dolphin, would you?
