The first episode of the recently aired third season of Black Mirror, in which everything and everyone is subject to instant evaluation, is by far the more realistic of the whole show. Likes, stars, hearts, grades: today, ratings are literally everywhere. Yet, if in some places it\u2019s now a very mundane thing to leave a mark that shows one\u2019s satisfaction or disappointment, it can still be awkward in some others. For instance, facing this screen that invites me to \u00ab\u00a0rate my experience\u00a0\u00bb just after leaving the customs is a bit disturbing. How could I rate this short moment during which I basically said nothing and just observed someone scrutinizing your passport? What could be the consequences if I wish, for some reason, to select the face that says \u00ab\u00a0very poor \u00bb? And above all, how the hell the two thumbs I just pressed on the fingerprints reader for a whole minute did not already count as two likes ?<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
